Illustrator Tutorial: “Angela from the Pizza Connection” step by step description

Today I'll show you the example of Angela

1. The sketch

1.1.  Place the sketch in the background

Name the level at which you have placed your sketch "drawing." By double-clicking on the layer, you open the layer options.Now you can dim the level to 25%. Then lock the layer.

 

 

 

 

 

1.2. Prepare a new layer before

Create on the level of "drawing" a new level. This call "you" body. Open again the level of options and give the plane a strong color, so you can see that clear later your paths.

 2. Create space – the body

Now you put the rough surfaces of the body. Just Draw an ellipse with the Ellispen tool (keyboard shortcut L) in the size of Angela's head.

Set the Opacity to 50%.

2.1. The shape handle pull

Now you can take the form with the Direct Selection tool (keyboard shortcut A) handle pull. It is important not to shake your curves. Therefore, attempts to get by with as little path points as possible.

3. Angela gets a facial

 3.1. The eyes

Aperture your subscription level is now back on. Create a new layer and call it "face." The body shape you should bet on 30% opacity.
Create a white ellipse as the eye. Duplicate this ellipse superimposed (Ctrl. + C and Ctrl. + F). Scale the second ellipse is proportional by you hold down the Shift + alt.

To copy the eyelid you once the white ellipse and it sets (with Ctrl. + B) in the background. Give this ellipse a green color. Now copy the one eye, and put it slightly smaller and bruised to the point of the second eye.

3.2. The mouth

4. Generate volume

4.1. Generate body volume

5. Highlights share

5.1. Gloss effects

For the shine effects of the eyes, you create two white ellipses. Set the opacity to 70%.

For a shiny effect on the body you put more Ellispen with an opacity of 20%.

5.2. Glare

6. Details

7 Shadow set

7.2. Shadow on the neck and legs

7.3. Shadow on the ground

Now, Angela has only a shadow on the ground to whom, and the illustration is finished. So, draw a large, brown ellipse on the floor.  Match the Ellipse behind.

Choose now the Effect / Stylize / Feather and set the value to 100 pixels.
